Producer

Delicato is a brand named after the Indelicato Family who make the wines. Delicato produces Californian wines with an Italian influence and consists of just six varietals – White Zinfandel, Zinfandel, Chardonnay, Merlot, Shiraz and Cabernet Sauvignon.

Zinfandel

Region

California is a young wine growing area that has grown up fast. Its greatest attributes stem from diversity and flexibility in both climatic and political terms, both of which are duly reflected in the wide range of wine styles that are produced. Furthermore, the two-tier producer composition of trend and value sensitive wine companies working alongside a vast community of passionate artisanal vintners makes California a reactive and innovative wine-producing region with a very bright future.

Style

The Merlot grape produces soft & velvety plummy wines, low on tannins. It is often blended with Cabernet Sauvignon resulting in a wine that is big on fruit but smooth enough to drink on its own without food.
