South Africa Grape Varieties and the Coastal Regions with Simon Back of Backsberg
Simon Back of Backsberg gives us an overview of the history of Backsberg, which began when his great-grandfather purchased the farm in 1916. His family has since put Backsberg firmly on the map and today it’s a household name in South Africa. We discuss the coastal wine regions of Stellenbosch and Paarl as well as the grape varieties and some of the quality issues South Africa’s wine industry faced in the mid 1990’s when the country’s wine production took off.
I thought the questions were excellent, an extremely valuable revision tool. They really helped highlight areas I thought I had revised and understood but clearly had not, which has enabled me to focus on key areas to revisit and study before going into the exam... I think it is a great resource and an essential revision aid for any WSET 3 students wishing to gain a competitive edge and successfully pass the WSET 3 exam.
