Starbucks to add alcohol to the menu
In Canada, Starbucks are launching Starbucks Evenings where, after 4pm, wine, beer and tapas will be on the menu. The concept was first tried in some US cities last year. The aim is to try and gain more of the evening market, having driven up daytime sales by expanding the range from just coffee. Surely coffee liqueurs or espresso martinis would have been the natural next step - Irish Coffee to go anyone?
