Calling all amateur wine tasters
Oddbins are yet again on the hunt to find the UK's finest amateur wine taster. The competition which they are calling The Palate aims to demystify wine tasting, something we at Thirty Fifty endeavour to do every day! The competition which ran last year has judges such as wine critic and educator Sarah Ahmned, TV presenter Peter Richards and Susie Barrie both Masters of Wine on the panel. No expert knowledge of wine is required and the aim is to show that anyone can do it. Last year 21,000 people took part. Round one runs over the the weekends of 27/28 June in all Oddbins Shops and also at the Taste of London food and drink festival from June 17-21. So if you fancy your chances get on down to your local Oddbins.
