Ian Edwards is chairmen of the Wessex region of the United Kingdom Vintners Association (UKVA) and a member of the UKVA council, a trade body for people in wine industry which deals with legislation, education and helping newcomers to get started. The majority of UK vineyards are members but anyone in the UK wine trade can join and enjoy the benefits of membership. They work closely with DEFRA on legislative issues surrounding wine. In this interview we discuss EU wine legislation reforms which came into force on the 1st August 2009 and how the changes will affect UK vineyards.
