- UK Wine Show 185 Montepulciano with Susanna Crociani
Overview
Crociani is a leading producer in Montepulciano, Tuscany. We catch up with owner Susanna Crociani to hear about the wines of the region.
Among the wines produced is the classic Vino Nobile di Montepulciano, a blend with 80% Sangiovese. This is the wine the region is most famous for. Susanna also makes a Rosso di Montepulciano, the younger brother to Vino Nobile because it is aged for less time, typically 7-8 months in oak. We also find out about a traditional dessert wine from the region, Vin Santo, made from white grapes. The Crociani Vin Santo won a gold medal at the IWSC this year.
