Overview
In this interview we meet Craig Pope, European Commercial Director for Petainer and Jack Denley, Marketing Manager. Petainer is a specialist in PET packaging and beverages account for 95% of their customer base/portfolio. This includes single use products such as large kegs for brewers (as alternative to steel), water cooler bottles as well as the usual standard size bottles. They are designing to be carbon friendly and open up new channels for customers. The wine keg is attracting customers in the US and UK who are selling still wine and sparkling wine in kegs, to be served on tap in bars, restaurants and at festivals. After opening, the still wine has 4 weeks shelf life and 2 weeks for sparkling. The kegs are 20 litre or 30 litre capacity and at end of life you can segregate the materials and reuse components and once finished with, the PET keg can be compressed and recycled.
