Hangovers worse if you worry about them

Recent research from Salford University claims that people who worry about hangovers are more likely to experience worse hangovers.

Sam Royle lead researcher showed a relationship between those who exaggerate pain (catastrophise pain) compared to the average person and their perception of a hangover severity.

The research identified two types of hangover symptoms - stress-related and dehydration-related. Both got worse with higher blood alcohol, but those who exaggerated pain suffered more stress-related pain.
