Montalcino with Donatella Cinelli Colombini
This show was published 11 December 2009
Donatella Cinelli Colombini establised two vineyards in 1998, one in Montalcino and the other in DOC Orcia. She made an unusual decision to employ only female workers and renamed her project Casato Prima Donna. At the time it was very difficult for women to enter the wine world which was dominated by men. Donatella produces Rosso and Brunello di Montalcino and likens wine to the Olympic Games - you have to be the best in everything you do to produce the maximum quality you can. In the interview we talk more about Brunello wines and Vin Santo. For more information visit www.cinellicolombini.it
