iFAVINE Smart Decanter with Martyne Reukema
This show was published 16 October 2015
iFAVINE is based in Bordeaux and trades around the world but iSommelier was originally a Chinese invention developed by Eric Li. The company is targeting high end restaurants and private wine collectors.
iSommelier is a decanting device that speeds up the decanting process. They claim you can decant wine in 1-6 minutes rather than 1-6 hours. The device rounds the tannins, making them softer and silky by aerating the wine - Martyne explains exactly how it works in conjunction with the iFAVINE app. The app has a smart control that enable the user to select their favourite aeration programs.
