- The London Wine Fair with Will Broadfoot
Overview
Will Broadfoot is the head of marketing for the London Wine Fair. He has been marketing the show for 20 years across two locations Excel and Olympia. 2008 was the biggest ever wine fair with 1000 exhibitors and 16,000 visitors over 3 days, but the recession which hit later that year had a huge impact on the show's future. The then London International Wine Fair was reinvented as the London Wine Fair with the focus on the UK market as its core audience. New features and zones such as Esoterica were introduced several years ago and have been successful as has Wines Unearthed which showcases producers who aren't yet represented in the UK. A new venture Will is working on is an exhibition called Epicurean bringing together fine wine, beer, spirits and food but with a consumer element. The show will launch in October at the Truman Brewery.
