- Rias Baixas wine region with Eva Minguez
Overview
Rias Baixas located in the north west of Spain in Galicia, just above Portugal. The region enjoys a maritime climate due to its proximity to the Atlantic ocean with lots of sunshine hours but its also very rainy creating a very green landscape. Albarino is the indigenous grape accounting for 95% of plantings. The grape is fruity and floral with apple, apricot the typical aromas, on both the nose and the palate. Red wine accounts for only 2% of production. The grapes are all hand-picked and hand-selected in the vineyard ensuring high quality and the wines are fermented (sometimes aged) in stainless steel.
