- Georgian Grapes and Home Winemaking with Henry Mchedlishvili
Overview
In this second interview with Henry Mchedlishvili we talk about the native grapes of Georgia, of which the two main varieties are Saperavi (red) and Rkatsiteli (white). Henry tells us that 50% of people in Georgia make their own wine at home and most they drink Georgian wine rather than imported wines. They tend to use stainless steel or glass containers to make wine rather than the traditional qvervi clay pot.
