Tesco banned from selling wine after supplying under age drinkers
Tesco Express has had one of its alcohol licences removed for a month. The Express store in Leicester was investigated twice by police who found them to be selling alcohol to under age drinkers on both occasions in March and November. The store is 1 of 1,500 Tesco Express stores in the UK. The manager of the store has now been sacked and staff at the store given additional training to improve awareness of under age drinking.
The police operations also revealed 2 other off-licences in Leicester who were also actively selling to under age drinkers.
