Tesco to slash wine selection
Tesco's shelves will no longer be heaving with wine, as the Tesco wine buying team are set to cull many wines currently on offer. Stiff competition from discount stores Aldi and Lidl has led Tesco to admit it has too many wines on sale, and seen its wine sales fall by 3.3%. They are set to get rid of 300 of their wines currently stocked. Tesco has said they will review their offering to ensure it has the right selection of wines for customers in the right stores. Asda has also announced plans to shed 8% of its range.
