ThirtyFifty wins IWC Wine Educator of the Year

Wine tasting company ThirtyFifty has won the International Wine Challenge ‘Wine Educator of the Year’ for 2015. They were up against Laithwaites on the shortlist and last won the award in 2008 only a few years after it was first introduced as a new Business Excellence category as part of the annual IWC Merchant Awards.

The judging panel commented “Thirty Fifty is 100% committed to education and it has done a remarkable job. In its team it has 18 educators doing tastings and events all over the country, as well as developing audio features, podcasts and an app. Here’s a company that makes wine education accessible to many all over the UK.”

Jane Scott commented: “The award is a fantastic achievement for all of us at ThirtyFifty. Before we began in 2002 Chris and I were simply two people who enjoyed sharing a bottle of wine. We’re now leading the way in helping many others to further their knowledge. It is great to be able to educate others and share our enthusiasm for wine. What a brilliant day job!”
