The latest goings on in the wine media world this week. Tim Atkin Master of Wine was announced the 2015 Louis Roederer Domaines OTT International Writer of the Year. Tim writes for many publications and is a regular on BBC's Saturday Kitchen. Well done Tim..... The brilliant Jancis Robinson has released the 4th edition of the Oxford Companion to Wine with Julia Harding, 9 years after the last edition. As Jancis pointed out lots has changed in the wine world over 9 years with new wines, new producers and redrawing of the world wine map. She reckons 60% of the book has been rewritten. This is a great book for any wine lover. The Drinks Business announced London's top female sommeliers this week, announcing 6 women who are changing the shape of the city's wine scene and countering the perception of sommeliers as sterotypically male and French! The six are Laure Patre, Julia Oudill, Sandia Chang, Kathrine Larsen, Sunaina Sethi and Emily Harman.
