New President of WSET
Steven Spurrier has been announced as the 5th honour president of WSET. Steven is famous for staging the famous 1976 Judgement of Paris tasting where Californian and French wines were blind tasted alongside each other. He has written several wine books and was awarded the L'Academia Internationale du Vin award in 2001, only the 3rd time the award has been given since 1982, the previous recipient being Micheal Broadbent. He also set up the Christies Wine School. Steven follows in the footsteps of Gerald Basset, Jancis Robinson, Hugh Johnson and Micheal Broadbent. We wish him every success in his new role.
