The WSET held their graduation and awards ceremony this week

The WSET’s (Wine & Spirit Education Trust) now annual graduation and awards ceremony was held on Monday in London at the Guildhall.

The Vintner’s Cup and Scholarship, goes to the student who achieved the highest overall mark across the WSET Diploma in the academic year. It was awarded to Moritz Mueller and is one of the few times a wine enthusiast rather than a member of the trade has won it.

The Riedel Trophy for the Educator of the Year, awarded to the individual or company that has made significant contribution to the delivery of WSET courses and qualifications, went to Eno Cultura from Brazil, which was set up by Thiago Mendes and Paulo Brammer in 2013 and now runs WSET courses across the country.

Finally the WSET Outstanding Alumni Award went to Sarah-Jane Evans MW, DipWSET, Sarah-Jane is an award-winning writer and co-chair of the Decanter World Wine Awards.
