UK follows worldwide trend of fall in with drink driving deaths
Deaths in the UK caused by drink driving dropped by 64% between 2006 and 2016, along with declines in 34 out of 36 countries.
The two countries that saw rises were Serbia and Czechia (The Czech Republic) while Japan saw a huge fall of 74%. Although the UK saw a big decrease, a recent YouGov survey of 12,000 respondents revealed that 44% of people think that drink drinking in the UK had worsened.
