Prosecco exports tip half a billion

Prosecco claims to be the most enjoyed wine in Italy, as it exported over half a billion bottles in 2022

The US consumes the most Prosecco in the world with 134 million bottles, chased hard on its heels by the UK with 130 million bottles in 2022 or 20% of production. Italy at 120 million bottles is in third place, but enough to make it the largest wine consumed in Italy.

In total, Prosecco production reached 638.5 million bottles in 2022.
