Tax Policy Associates, a British firm, offered a free bottle of Pomerol wine to the first person to claim it, after having read the small print of the company's privacy statement. The offer was hidden as an experiment, to see if anyone would actually read the full terms.

It took three months before someone claimed the £35 bottle of Château de Sales 2013. Dan Neidle heads up the organisation said it was his idea and a “childish protest” against all businesses having to publish a privacy policy on their website, despite the fact that few people read them.
