Fake Bolly in London
Counterfeit bottles of Bollinger Champagne have been found in small retailers and bars in Holland Park, West London. The bottles haven't appeared in any supermarkets and according to Trading Standards they are being sold by the case to off licences and newsagent in the area.
Champagne Bollinger's UK agent Mentzendorff say they have been working closely with Trading Standards since before Christmas, when the first bottles were discovered. Only a small quantity of stock is involved and the labels are poor quality photocopies applied to bottles of cheap sparkling wine sourced from the continent.
