An online wine tasting is a live, guided experience where you taste wines at home while an expert leads you through each one.

ThirtyFifty's online wine tastings are hosted on Zoom by co-founder Chris Scott and include 8 wines delivered anywhere in the UK - designed to help you be more confident with wine in a relaxed setting.

Online Wine Tasting Evenings

Our online wine tasting evenings are designed to help you navigate the world of wine with greater confidence. We'll guide you step-by-step, learning how to taste, what to look for, and how to describe what you like - without the jargon.

The start time is 6:45pm for a prompt 7:00pm start.

What happens during the online wine tasting?

Each online wine tasting is a 2-hour live Zoom session combining guided tasting with interactive elements. The sessions are led by ThirtyFifty co-founder Chris Scott, alongside our team of WSET Level 3 or 4 qualified experts.

What wines are included?

Each tasting includes 8 wines from around the world:

• 3 white wines
• 4 red wines
• 1 dessert wine

All wines are provided in 50ml tasting samples, so you can explore a wide range of styles without needing to buy full bottles. You’ll also receive tasting notes to refer back to during and after the session.

During the evening you'll

• Taste 8 different wines with expert guidance
• Learn a simple, practical approach to wine tasting
• Discover key grape varieties and wine styles
• Take part in a fun blind tasting challenge (guess the grape and country)
• Try a 'supertaster' test to understand your palate
• Join in light-hearted quizzes

How are the wines delivered?

Your wine tasting kit is delivered in advance, directly to your door, wherever you are in the UK

• Despatched in advance of your event
• Delivered approximately a week before your tasting
• Sent via overnight courier

On the night, just log in to Zoom and we’ll guide you through everything.

How long does the tasting last?

• Duration: 2 hours
• Timings: 7:00pm to 9:00pm (join from 6:45pm)
• Format: Live on Zoom
• Group Size: 12 participants typically
