- Chateau de Bonhoste with Sylvaine Fournier
Overview
Chateau de Bonhoste is owned by Sylvaine Fournier and her brother who are 5th generation winemakers. The estate is situated in Saint Jean de Blaignac near to St Emilion. They produce whites, rose and reds under the Bordeaux AC and they also make sparkling wine to the traditional method but using Semillon and Ugni Blanc grapes (Ugni Blanc for its acidity). We talk about the soils which are predominantly clay and limestone, which helps the water to drain away, the climate and the 2016 vintage.
