The Rivetto family began producing wine in 1902 in the province of Piedmont in North West Italy. In this interview with Enrico Rivetto we find out more about his Barolo wines.
Nebbiolo grapes are used to make Barolo wines which are then aged for 3 years for regular Barolo and 5 years for Reservas. Enrico explains what happens to the wine as it ages and says his Barolo can be aged for 10-20 years. During the interview a single vineyard Barolo is tasted against a Barolo from mixed vineyards.
I thought the questions were excellent, an extremely valuable revision tool. They really helped highlight areas I thought I had revised and understood but clearly had not, which has enabled me to focus on key areas to revisit and study before going into the exam... I think it is a great resource and an essential revision aid for any WSET 3 students wishing to gain a competitive edge and successfully pass the WSET 3 exam.
