D3: Bordeaux: Background: St Emilion Margaux and Bordeaux Superieur with Helen De Schepper
Antony gives us an overview of Margaux and the Bordeaux Superieur classification. Although their vineyards are located in Margaux and the Medoc, the majority of Bordeaux Superior wines are from the Entre-deux-Mers region. We move over to St Emilion which is on the right bank of the Gironde with 9 communes making up the classification. We talk soils, caves, climate and quality standards.
I thought the questions were excellent, an extremely valuable revision tool. They really helped highlight areas I thought I had revised and understood but clearly had not, which has enabled me to focus on key areas to revisit and study before going into the exam... I think it is a great resource and an essential revision aid for any WSET 3 students wishing to gain a competitive edge and successfully pass the WSET 3 exam.
