D5: Bacakground: Horizontal Sherry Tasting with Beltran Domecq Part 2
We continue the horizontal tasting with Beltran Domecq to find out how the sherry changes with fortification and age. We taste an Oloroso which is very dry, a fruitier Oloroso style from Gonzalez Byass and a vintage sherry, the Williams and Humbert 12 year old Oloroso. To finish we taste a VOS (20 years) and a VORS (Very Old Rare Sherry) of 30 years by Harveys.
I thought the questions were excellent, an extremely valuable revision tool. They really helped highlight areas I thought I had revised and understood but clearly had not, which has enabled me to focus on key areas to revisit and study before going into the exam... I think it is a great resource and an essential revision aid for any WSET 3 students wishing to gain a competitive edge and successfully pass the WSET 3 exam.
