UK Hospitality partially open from 12th April

The next big step for the UK, easing out of a lockdown that began before Christmas, will be to allow pubs and restaurants to open for outdoor service on Monday 12th April.

The 12th April will be the start of relief for some business which, along with hospitality, will see the opening up of non-essential shops, personal care premises and public buildings - such as libraries and museums.

Previous pub re-openings required customers to have a substantial meal with their alcohol, but this will not be required this time around. Gone will be the debate over whether a scotch egg constitutes a meal, and in comes confusion over Covid passports.
